Life Transitions

Even a happy life cannot be without a measure of darkness, and the word happy would lose its meaning if it were not balanced by sadness. It is far better to take things as they come along with patience and equanimity.

Transitions are inherent to life, the only constant we have is that things continuously change. But some of these changes affect us more intensely than others. The end of a relationship, or of a job; the arrival of a child; moving houses and sometimes even countries – these transitions can shake us to the deepest of our core.

When our lives go through a metamorphosis it can be especially difficult to regain a sense of control over our own choices, and their consequences. Counselling can be a place to throw out – if only for an hour – your anchor and regain your breath.

Because even though it feels as if hardly anything is familiar anymore, one thing remains grounded and static – a foundation to fall back on.
