What It Means to Work in English
Fluency isn’t just about vocabulary — it’s about being able to speak your truth without translating your soul. Many of my clients speak French or German well enough to function, but still feel emotionally muted in sessions with local therapists.
In English, the defences drop. The body relaxes. Words come closer to what’s actually being felt. Whether you’re navigating grief, stress, shame, disconnection, or burnout — being met in your own language makes a difference.
Many clients find me by searching for an English-speaking therapist in Lausanne or Nyon — because even fluent French or German can feel too blunt when it comes to emotions.
Therapy for Expats and Internationals in Switzerland

Living abroad changes us. You lose old anchors. You adapt fast. Sometimes too fast. That dislocation — even in beautiful places — can spark loneliness, anxiety, identity confusion, or relational tension.
I work with:
- People navigating life transitions, cultural shifts, or invisible grief
- Couples trying to stay connected while managing multiple languages, careers, and parenting
- Men facing burnout, pressure, shame, or emotional isolation
Whether you’ve lived in Switzerland for a decade or just arrived, the challenges are real. And sometimes, they’re hard to name — especially when the world expects you to be grateful.
Therapy That’s Direct, Honest and Human
You don’t need someone who smiles and nods. You need someone who can hold what’s real — without judgement, and without fluff. I don’t do platitudes. I don’t pathologise. I meet you as a person, not a diagnosis.
Whether it’s stress counselling, support for burnout, or navigating relationship strain, I don’t offer platitudes — I work with you directly, as a person.
My work is rooted in direct conversation, relational honesty, and emotional truth. We’ll explore what’s stuck, what’s hurting, and what’s calling to be reclaimed. You can bring your story in fragments. We’ll piece it together as we go along.
