The ethics code of conduct I adhere to is the one published by the Schweizerische Gesellschaft für Beratung (SGfB), of which I am a member. This organisation covers the work of counsellors based in Switzerland and is therefore binding for my practice, whether my counselling is for clients within or outside of Switzerland. In my work as a counsellor and psychologist I am also inspired by the ethical principles of the American Psychological Association, the American Counseling Association, and the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy; I am a member or affiliate of all of those organisations because I value their professionalism, and their adherence to ethical applications of psychological knowledge and insight.
